I am putting together a new joke book. This time I am putting all the grossness that I wouldn't put in 202 Good Clean Jokes for Kids. This one is going to be The Totally Gross Booger and Fart Joke Book for Kids. If you have any good ones, email me! Remember that they are for kids, so I don't want raunchy. 5 hour Ortho apt?
I was literally gone from 11-4 today for my kids ortho appointment. This is the saddest thing I have ever done. I left at 11 because I THOUGHT my appointments were at 1230, and it takes an hour to get there. I wanted there to be enough time in case there was traffic or weather issues. When I got to the office at 1215, I realized that our apt's were at 230, not 1230. And they closed for lunch from 1230-130. Sigh. They said to come back at 130 and they would try and squeeze us in. So I took the kids to the McD's and they got an item off the dollar menu. (KP got a salad, and JB got 2 pies. I don't know who is the smarter one here.) So we head back to the Dr's office at 130, and wait. And wait. And wait. Kids are called around 215, did their thing, and we were out of there around 250. And had to drive home. Arrived at 4. This is my life, people. The excitement is overwhelming, I know.
Okay, so maybe I AM that crazy.

I'm back!
I have been flaking. I know.
It has been about a week or so since my last post. I wish I had some really juicy, exciting reason why.
I don't.
Well, besides the fact that I home school 5 kids. This week was finals week for my 9th grader. Then 2 of my boys went away for a Winter Camp for Boy Scouts. And tonight there is a church dance. I am NEVER this busy.
I did, however, have a chance to type up some of my pages for my book. I am such a goober, because I write my book. By hand. Is that weird? It's the way I have done it since I started writing in junior high. Of course there were computers back then. (My computer class consisted of putting in co'ords (153,15) and then you would get a nifty green/black screen with a picture or something on it. And BTW, the only computer game there was to play in that class was Oregon Trail. Best. Game. Ever.)
Man, I can just get off subject. Where was I? Ahh, yes. I write, by hand. And then I have to put it all into the computer. I feel like I have been writing FOREVER. And then I put it into WORD. Seriously? I'm only on page 16? Man. Only 284 to go. At least I know that I haven't even begun the good stuff. I am still bringing in characters.It just makes me feel like I have SOOOoooo much left to do. I need to keep reminding myself that I absolutely LOVE what I do. I LOVE WHAT I DO!

I sighed as her fingers curled around my ears and neck. "It's just so fast. I want you to"--I stopped short of saying love me, because it seemed presumptive--"want yo be with me. I've wanted it forever. I just never thought it would actually happen." It felt too serious, so I added, "I am just a mythological creature after all. I technically shouldn't exist."
